2022 CSR Report: Committed to sustainability and continuous improvement

Since we opened our doors, we've remained unwavering in our focus to give Americans more choice and control with their healthcare. It's important to us that the people we serve-over 14 million members in more than 120,000 organizations-know the extent of our commitment to ethical and transparent business. That's one key reason why we're proud to debut the second edition of Sustainably Purple: 2022 Corporate Social Responsibility Report.

More than a collection of charts and graphs, this is an accounting of the remarkable work from our 3,700 team members across 46 states. Moreover, you'll see our Purple spirit shine with photographs of team members featured throughout the document (we think their smiling faces add a great deal of heart to the document).

What's new and improved?

Just as we're passionate about helping Americans connect health and wealth, we're also enthusiastic about how we improved the CSR report for 2022-a multifaceted look at the subjects our stakeholders value most. We're proud of how we continue to improve our processes and reporting since we released our first CSR report last year. As you read through the report, you'll notice the addition of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) industry frameworks. And then, to report on how we responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, you'll see us step outside those reporting frameworks. Among other information, you'll learn about:

• Key definitions and terms, including what we mean by Purple (Hint: it's code for being remarkable!)
• Materiality assessment with stakeholder feedback and impact assessment to help determine our top priorities
• Status of our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, including the makeup of our people leadership team where 53 percent of people leaders are women
